My name is Tamara Houston and I'm the 8th grade Language Arts teacher. I received my Bachelor's of Arts from Bethel College in McKenzie,TN. Before coming to the middle school level, I was a highly qualified  9th grade English teacher. My educational philosophy most closely resembles that of Existentialism. Under this philosophy, an educator believes in educating the TOTAL person. As it relates to my class, I teach the students Writing and Grammar as well as important facts about our history, preparing for college, and key facts to succeeding in life. My favorite writers are Langston Hughes, Edgar Alan Poe, and William Shakespeare.
